Searched for a modern/sleek platform bed w/Italian flavor in design, as well as in an effort to maximize storage space for use in typical NYC 1BR apt. Took a while but found this @ Modern Furniture. Slightly nervous to purchase "sight unseen"... However, glad I took a chance. Bed is beautiful. The brown leather w/contrasting off white leather upholstered headboard/pillow are very sharp. Have received many compliments - looks like came from high end Euro showroom for a fraction of the cost! [...] The storage underneath actually leaves me w/extra closet space (unheard of in the City!!). Very happy with this purchase. Only hiccup, (only applies to those living in a COOP building)freight carrier unable to provide proof of insurance (liability/workers comp etc) to building management/COOP requirement. This created some angst on delivery. I was able to secure w/cash deposit permitting entry/setup. [...] Therefore, became a non-issue and I received my cash deposit back.
