This lamp assembles in minutes and is as sturdy a floor lamp (i.e, weighty, stable) as I've ever encountered. The flowing, organic design fits in with any decor that uses such traditional motifs. The 3 shades are a beautiful amber that throws a warm comforting glow in an indirect way (above) and directly down to an area--perfect for reading or bathing some other room element or space in its soft shine. The height is perfect for placement behind a sofa or chair for reading. Plus, as an added bonus feature, it has 2 brightness levels on the switch. In short, one of the best floor lamps for the money I own.
