I was looking for a small chair to use at a writing desk/console table for brief work periods in the living room. This chair is perfect from a looks perspective, and not terrible from a comfort perspective, but I wouldn't want to sit in it for long periods. It would make a fine dining chair, and in truth, is probably more comfortable than most restaurant dining chairs -- just not as nice as a good desk chair. If you're looking for a nice side chair for occasional use -- I'd recommend it.
