I bought this because, frankly, at it's price, I assumed it would just be there for decoration and wouldn't really function all that well. I was wrong.

This is a very solid (and heavy) piece. The lid works great. The amount of storage is huge. And, it's great as seating when you run out of traditional seats (i.e. couches and chairs).

The top is cushioned so that when you put your feet up, they're nice and relaxed, but it's solid enough to place something on top without worrying that it will flop around.

The color and texture, though, are what really makes this piece truly great. It's a great deep-rich-red, and the tufting is well done. Finally, the crocodile texture on the leather makes it just the right amount of funky and modern.

This is a great piece.
